What is Subtang?
Client | Subtang
Subtang is a made-up word. It combines the Latin prefix Sub, beneath, and the word entanglement, a state of being where two or more particles remain connected in such a way that they can influence each other no matter how far apart they are.

Subtang is an observational approach that focuses on understanding and monitoring the emotional language underpinning our behavior. It transforms verbal cues in our conversations, including our inner voice, into a simple and trackable emotional code, enabling individuals to comprehend and follow specific behavioral patterns and their variations in the future by matching emotional notations.

Subtang posits that every experience in our lives forms a sequence stored in a particular emotional intensity. These sequences later manifest as emotional notations that represent our perspective on reality, which we refer to as perception. Each primary emotional intensity corresponds to a verb that triggers a series of actions, which then become recurring stories.

Similar to other widely adopted languages, Subtang is a structured communication system involving emotional intensities and verbal cues linked to each other. We use emotional intensity to gauge our proximity to the stressor in any given situation, with intensity increasing as we approach it. The primary focus of Subtang is the core response sequence that develops in early childhood, particularly between the ages of 0 and 4, often leading to maladaptive behavior under intense stress.

Subtang wants to start a conversation on the subject within the scope of design and system principles. So we can understand the unconscious landscape of our behaviors with complete clarity. Once we clear out the fog, we can welcome the complexity of life in a curious, joyous, and playful manner.

See you, in Subtang.
